Eternal honor and glory to the combatants of the Communist Party of Peru who fell in the Shining Trenches of Combat!
The Communist Party of Equator - Red Sun bows with fist raised before the invincible and imperishable memory of the heroes and heroines who, on June 19, 1986, in the prisons of El Frontón, Lurigancho, and Callao, gave their lives in combat as prisoners of war, defending the almighty ideology of the proletariat: Marxism-Leninism-Maoism-Gonzalo Thought, in the midst of the most bloody conditions of repression and massacre unleashed by Peruvian reaction and imperialism.
Those comrades were not victims: they were combatants of the people! They resisted with dignity, organization, and fire, raising high the banners of the People’s War that shook the entrails of the old landlord-bureaucratic State, servant of imperialism, mainly Yankee imperialism. They turned the prisons into Shining Trenches of Combat, showing the world that in every scenario, even in difficult conditions such as prison, genocidal counter-offensives and bends, the revolution does not bow down before the traitors, reaction, and imperialism.
The Day of Heroism is not only a commemoration, it is also a commitment. It calls us to persist, to learn from the mettle of the fallen comrades, to grasp the ideology of the proletariat and to advance resolutely in our own revolutionary processes, making of these, a creative action. It is a date that should ignite the memory and the struggle in every communist, in every combatant of the people.
Today, their example resonates strongly in the peoples who are developing people’s war: India, Philippines, Turkey, and Peru; in the active resistance in Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen, and Iran, who are firmly confronting the aggressions of imperialism and Zionism; transforming pain into armed resistance, and resistance into a popular offensive.
From Ecuador, the communists, workers, poor peasants, and revolutionaries organized under the red flag with the shining sun, the hammer and sickle, we express our firm internationalist greetings to the Communist Party of Peru, to its leadership and its combatants, and we reaffirm that the blood shed is still firmly on the chest of those of us who persist in conquering the heights; that the People’s War continues latent, trembling, that the peoples of the world will learn, once and a thousand times, from the immortal example of those who made a trench out of prison; of repression, a rifle, and of death: victory!
