At the end of last month, the French people and proletariat gave us a new example of the growing revolutionary situation and the powerful revolutionary force of the masses. The numbers can give us an idea of the immense spontaneous revolt: The French Ministry of Interior reported 808 injured among the police forces, 269 attacks on police stations, 1,105 buildings set on fire or damaged, 5,892 burnt vehicles, and 12,202 fires in public areas. Only with severe measures, mobilizing 45,000 police officers and arresting 3,486 people in 5 days, they were temporarily able to quell the fire – data that, although incomplete, shows the scale of the struggle of the masses.
Each major mass movement gradually breaks the masks of a government in the service of the bourgeoisie, which relies solely on its police, armed forces, and the bureaucratic apparatus of the State. The role of the police, as a general institution of repression, is central to the trend towards reactionary measures that can be observed, especially in the events of recent days.
The opportunists from all tendencies, who nevertheless label themselves as “leftists,” have once again betrayed the people by calling for “calm” and respect for “the Republic,” that is, the bourgeois dictatorship system that oppresses the proletariat and the French people. The revolutionaries have especially denounced the role of Fabien Roussel, leader of the French “Communist” Party, a revisionist and sell-out party, who opposed the uprisings and is one of the forces proposing to suppress the fighting masses.
The MPP (Peru People’s Movement) proudly wishes to greet all rebels and offer its support to all proletarians, residents of the neighborhoods, and revolutionaries who have been imprisoned for rebelling. You are not alone, because we support you with all our strength and walk shoulder to shoulder in your struggle.
Support the revolutionaries and rebels imprisoned in France!
It is right to rebel!
